Letter from the Developer

Hi everyone,

Today I’m excited to share with you the launch of Advanced Stats within Mashlytics, plus introduce Mashlytics Premium. This release includes a bunch of new features, so let’s get into the details!

Advanced Batting Stats

My philosophy is that the core functionality will always remain free: log plate appearances and see your basic stats like Hits, RBI, Batting Average, On-Base Percentage, and Slugging Percentage. Additionally, basic spray charts will always remain free.

But statheads want more. I should know: I’m a stathead, or statnerd if you prefer. For you, Mashlytics Premium is now available and is your window to advanced analytics like:

• Stat Breakdowns, e.g. what percentage of my Hits come from each hit type: 1B, 2B, 3B, and HR?
• New Hit Count Stats: 1B, 2B, 3B, and HR
• New Power Batting Stats: On-Base Plus Slugging Percentage (OPS) and Isolated Power (ISO)
• New Efficiency Batting Stats: Weighted On-Base Percentage (wOBA) and Batting Average on Balls In Play (BABIP)
• Stat Filters, filter stats by season or by recency

Stat Breakdowns

As you log more at-bats in Mashlytics, trends and patterns start to emerge. This initial version of Stat Breakdowns shows you the breakdown of your hits by type. Using the filters, you can also see how 1B, 2B, 3B, and HR as a percentage of total hits changes over time.

Support for +3 Players

When Mashlytics starting gaining traction, tracking multiple players was the most requested feature. So I quickly added support for all users to have up to 3 players.

With this release, Premium members can track batting stats for more than 3 players. Add your whole family or team, visualize their data in spray charts, and show them insights on their batting performances that they have never seen before.

Premium: Founders Club and Season Pass

Many of you have submitted feature requests and provided feedback. The energy you bring is amazing, humbling, and tremendously helpful. We are on a journey together to build the best ballplayer stat tracking app.

To keep our momentum going and accelerate it, I’ve created a Premium tier with two membership levels:

• Founders Club: Annual membership. Get a warm, fuzzy feeling inside knowing you’re directly supporting the development of Mashlytics and getting access to all of the Advanced features
• Season Pass: 3 month membership. Use Premium features like Advanced Stats during your season.
